What is Continual-G®?

Role of Glyteine®

Glutathione levels can only be elevated by feeding them the dipeptide gamma-glutamylcysteine, the immediate molecular precursor to the tripeptide glutathione. Glyteine as the proprietary form of gamma-glutamylcysteine is therefore the only molecule that can accomplish this process.

It is not enough just to produce glutathione inside cells since for glutathione to be effective in health applications, its cellular concentration must exceed homeostatic levels. This really is where all other ingredients, whether it is N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a mixture of NAC and glycine (GLYNAC), glutathione or its various forms such as liposomal glutathione or S-acetylglutathione that claim to increase glutathione levels fail.

Glyteine® is taken up by the cells in your body where it is rapidly converted into glutathione in 2 hours (Refer Study). This fact has been well documented since the 1970s but the difficulty in producing large quantities at affordable costs prevented its commercialization. UNTIL NOW, when a team of researchers in Australia, over a 20-year period, invented the synthesis method and developed the manufacturing technology enabling the commercialization of gamma-glutamylcysteine i.e. Glyteine.

Some of our cell’s glutathione is recycled, but some additional amount needs to be made anew from raw materials available in our bodies. During extensive strenuous high cardio/aerobic exercise we run the risk of exceeding our cell’s capacity to keep up with its need for glutathione. If this happens, our cells will enter oxidative stress, which if left too long may result in some damage that will require a period of recovery before the exercise routine can be repeated at optimal performance.
