Hand cut metal art of an egret in etched copper. Artwork measures 5x5" (approx. 13cm), and comes ready to hang. It has been sealed with enamel to protect the patina.

This textural copper artwork features a slender egret sitting elegantly on a branch. The background texture is created by a light etching of a crisply detailed maple leaf. The copper is layered so it hovers above a second plate, adding dimension and creating lovely shadows. The space between the plates makes the copper colors shift as the light catches them.

This piece has an natural, earthy feel that would fit perfectly with an Asian-inspired or Arts and Crafts/ Mission decor. It would look beautiful against pale neutral walls, earth tones, dark woods, or deep jewel tones. It is perfect for small areas, as it can act as a lovely focal point to a small space in need of a little attention.

Artwork is mounted on a finished wooden block with a routed keyhole hanger for simple and precise hanging. The back is slightly narrower than the copper, allowing the artwork to float about 1/2" (1cm) in front of the wall. The copper has been sealed to prevent tarnishing.
