I've been making a series of Owl Scouts out of recycled hand knit and felted woollen sweaters. My little man loves owls and I was inspired by a felted kids jumper i found at a carboot sale which had all these cute scout badges on it from 1981-2 so they are nearly 30 years old. I guess they are vintage now I suppose. I think owls make the perfect scouts.

*hand stitched with sashiko embroidery thread and wool
*each one has a unique vintage scout badge on its wing - this one reads 1981
*breast is filled with a muslin pouch of lavendar
*stuffed with a mixture of wool scraps, wool fleece and polyester stuffing
*knitted beak from some of my naturally dyed yarn
*size 25cm /9.8 inches tall

I try to give each one a unique character in their face.
